I picked up this pair at LFS. They were hanging around together so I presumed they were a pair. I just wanted to verify they are opposite sex. The one on top is a little further away in the picture so it may appear they are the in same length. Actually the one top I presume is a male is actually about at least 3/8 of an inch longer than the one on bottom. Also, it's dorsal fin and tail fin are longer. It will also go in front of cave holes and shake. I have seen the bottom, smaller one do this once, but it's usually the bigger top one doing it.
So is the top one a male and bottom one a female?
Feeding question. One of the foods I feed them are tiny sinking cichlid pellets. They will pull then into their mouths and spit them out and repeat. Sometimes 4 pellets at a time. I presume trying to soften them up. Is this normal and ok behavior fir eating pellets?
Thanks
