Preowned 250L tank

What species of Cory?
I have bronze corydoras they are so cute. I also bought some neon tetras from petbarn like 3 weeks ago and then I checked on them yesterday and was doing a water change and like 4 of them are just missing. I have no idea what happened but I’m devastated. So now I only have 3 left. I don’t know if I should buy more or just wait because I don’t want to buy more and they just disappear again. Maybe my pleco ate them idk but he’s never tried to eat any he just hides away.

Plecos never eat corys but if the corys have dies the pleco would scavenge the bodies leaving only bones, I have false julli corys super cute

Do you intend moving the cories you already have into this tank? If you do, it would be better to get more of the same species (bronze). However, you can mix coy species as log as you have at least 6 of each species in the mix. With 250 litres you have plenty room for a large shoal of cories, either just one species or a mix.

Just a warning about julii cories - they are not very common and most shops sell C. trinineatus mis-labelled as C. julii.

Hello sorry for late reply. I’ve been dealing with ick no with one of my neon tetras. Idk what’s going on I’ve never had ick before but it started after I bought some neon tetras from petbarn :’( and yes I intend to move all of my fish into the big tank and keep the smaller one as a quarantine tank and have it planted and probably leave the snails there too in the small one. Thank you for the tips will definitely be getting more corys.
