So, I’ve have 2 tanks one 20 gallon one 13 gallon. I’ve had issues with my tank getting cloudy I’m the beginning of my fish journey. I’ve had tanks about 2 years and all of a sudden last night I noticed my 20 gallon tank is a little cloudy. I don’t know what could’ve caused this?? I did a partial water change yesterday but that is my normal routine and I’ve never had issues with this in a looooong time?? Any thoughts?? The one with the white angel fish that is the clear tank.

We need stock, filter, etc. Angelfish need atleast a 50g. Water change schedule? Weekly? How much? 50%? Do you use water conditioner? Do you have well water?

Bacterial bloom? Cause as yet unknown.

If you rinsed the filter media in chlorinated water there will be some beneficial bacteria that die, hence a bacterial bloom whilst the BB repopulate. Rinse filter media in old tank water.

Green cloudy water is caused by an algal bloom.

Milky white cloudy water is caused by a bacterial bloom, which occurs in new tanks when too much food is left on the bottom of the tank.

Reduce feeding to once every couple of days, and do a 75% water change and gravel clean the substrate every day for 1-2 weeks.
Make sure any new water is free of chlorine/ chloramine before it's added to the tank.

i dont know what caused cloudiness, i know that angels need at least 50g. if youre going to have a tank that small, you should at least have multiple live plants
