Hello everybody, Been a few months now but wanted to make sure i have things sorted before posting my joy.

So after a total wipeout of my old 30G Cory tank, I left it empty for 2 months, Replaced sand with new & every thing else in there. Last saturday i bought my first Bronze & Albino school. 5 x Bronze & 2 Albinos, Odd numbers but i bought the last lot in the store.
All are doing well & seem happy up to now

The Guppies are still here & thriving too, No more population explosions as of yet 😁

Oh yay! So glad you got back into cories! I remember the tank crash, it was very sad, and you worked so hard to try to fix things and save them :( There's no doubt that you love your fish and do everything you can for them.

Congrats on the new fish! The odd numbers don't matter, the albinos are still the same species as the bronze, they're all corydoras aeneus, so they'll all hang together. I have two albinos in with my bronzes too  The albino in your pic looks like a girl BTW... prepare for potential babies! ;)

Here's my batch of ten babies that are now old enough to go to new homes *sniff* But look at that green! Love 'em.

I take it the Bronze in the pics are the fry that you have been growing out last time we were all here? They look great, I always go for the Bronze over every other Cory. I like they way the look in a group, They all rest together under the bogwood, Same place as my old Bronze used to rest

How are yours doing now? Share some pics please!! :D

Yes, these are the fry that were born last time I was here, when you were here too. I should update that thread. Only nine fry survived to this stage, and two of the survivors were the two that were deformed! One with hardly any tail, the other with kinks in her spine so she looks extra chunky. I'll be keeping those two myself.

Number ten is one that was born in the parent tank and appeared suddenly as a little one! Couldn't believe it. Didn't even see spawning or eggs. And he was pretty big, so he obviously ate well in the tank. He joined these guys and fit right in, can't even tell which one it was now. So I'll keep the two with deformities, the other eight will be going to the LFS soon, along with some of the young adults that I raised from the first batch. I just have too many cories now! Love them though.

Thats good to hear, At least your still hard at it.
I got rid of all the Guppys except for a breeding trio, the father has got a lot of Endler traits in him but i have no idea where it comes from as these are my 4th batch from the original ones i bought. Im not doing anymore after these now & i have already spotted fry hiding out in the caves. Anyway the Corys seem to doing fine they just need fattening up a bit

Ive had to put my fake leaves back in foe hiding places. The plants are not growing fast enough but me personally dont think the lights in the hood are enough, The Elodia just die after a few weeks & end up making a mess

Anyway heres a few of the gang, The other 2 are still a little jumpy so wont come near anything that moves right now......but it is only the first week
