I bought these bacopas awhile back and love them. I bought duckweed, then read how annoying it can be. The Giant Duckweed may be another option.

Water Lettuce, because it was the only floater available at the time but it reproduces fast. I had just thinned it a couple of days ago. I like it but I would like to get some frogbit.

I love the roots! I just got some, and can't wait to see it in my tank. How frequently do you trim the roots?
 
I never trim the roots. The water lettuce seems to spontaneously regenerate :). I just take out the excess.
 
My duckweed: They population doubled in size in less than a week.
