most of them have visible gravid spots even when not pregnant. it is mostly the square shape that i use to determine it.
i had a fish with a gravid spot but she was normal sized

Hmm, I think she is pregnant. I do have livebearer fish so from what I know if her belly has a box formation it is pregnant.
