how to put co2 into a gravity/overflow sump system for freshwater without going through tons of co2?

Is there any good way to do this? All the systems I look at are made for cannister filters.

I understand the off gassing issues presented. Would it be best to inject right into the tank? I would prefer not to, but I can see that as a viable alternative. I am really trying to keep anything out of the main tank though so it looks as naturistic as possible.

Would Seachem Flourish Excel be a better solution for a problem such as this?

I did attach a <very rough> drawing of my system and sump setup. The box it flows into on the right then into the tank, is a chiller.

This is for a 150 gallons. 130 in the main tank, and another 20 in the sump / filter system
