new fish!

I'm fairly certain these are three different species entirely.

Why didn't you wait until the 47 gallon was ready and cycled then?
it was unexpectied, my parent just went out a got them when i was somewere else. just reapiting this, my mom though the 10 gallon was a 20 gallon long

Is this hexagonal tank tall and thin or short and wide?
its really TALL

Here a made this a little while ago for another post ( tank meserments):

yep.. i feel bad, though. it looks very crouded... my mom thought it was a 20 gallon long... im upgrading to a 47 gallon SOON very SOON
Ahhh how disappointed she must have been when she realized it was only a 10 gallon! Until you are able to upgrade to the 47, I would recommend doing daily water changes to keep up on water quality. While it may be crowded, it is not the end of the world if you keep up on water changes. So sad about the neon tetras!
My guess would be the pleco is either a brown Bristlenose Pleco or a Common pleco. A common pleco will eventually outgrow your tank, but for now it is alright.
When you begin introducing the fish to the 47, i would try not to do it all at once. Maybe start with the pleco, then bettas, let them have a week to get settled in then introduce the Buenos Aires tetras, let them settle in, then the neons (if there are any left) I don’t know if that is a good order or not though.

Ah how frustrating that they got the fish without you! It was a misunderstanding and not your fault, there is nothing you can do about it now except doing your best to keep their water clean. Good luck and I can’t wait to see how it all goes!
