i am looking for a light to add on to OR replace the current light, the kit that the light came with link is here:http://www.marineland.com/products/...ed-ensemble-75-gallon-farmhouse-aquarium.aspx (does not show the light here, it is in the description)
what should i do as some of the ludwiga and other medium-high light plants are suffering? i also have amazon sword so i do not want the high light in the right side.

thanks and have a nice day

I'm not clear if you are looking for more light or less. The link you posted has a lot of complaints about the incorrect fitments being supplied. Could this apply to yours?

I am looking for more light. The things that came in the package were correct.
do you have any reccomendations for partial light of the tank?
the amazon swords i heard don't like high lights

You could get a cheap desk lamp. That way it would only apply direct light to sections of the tank, depending on how many you get/where you place them. Just a thought.

Not sure I understand your question... are you asking if there is a bar light that can be programmed to only alive out light in the middle?

Yeah sorry i am being unclear. I want some low light planta that can be in the side like some swords. Im thinking about replacing this curent one with a lighter but same dimensions light. How does that sound

I would keep the current light and get some desk lamps for the specific spots you want to have more light.

ok. i actually want just the sides to be dark. thanks for the suggestion, if that does not work ill get the light :)

I have a Kessler a80 lighting half of my 75 gallon in addition to a led bar across the width of the tank. I got it mainly for the twinkling effect with a water jet agitating the surface. The kessler is dimable and color adjustable. The lights are on separate smart plugs so I can vary their schedules independently.

I highly recommend this light ... it’s not an aquarium light but it’s powerful I very rarely go higher than the brightness it has a build in timer and dimmer with 3 differnt light spectrum for plants and literally clips on to the top of the tank

Why not partition the surface and use floating plants at the edges?
