Got everything ready to set up my new tank but im missing one crucial thing....the Tank!!! :(

Just want to get stuck into the set up and sort everything out.

More time to plan i suppose..
 
Nightmare lol..

At least you now have the time to clean your dragon stone. Takes quite a while to get all the clay from the holes.

Maybe boil your wood if you don't want tannins in your water.

Rinse sand off.

Plenty to keep you busy there.

I could start rinsing all the sand i suppose. That would speed things up a little when it does arrive:)
 
Like @Fishfaced said, this'll be a good time to boil the wood and clean all the hardscaping bits and pieces to avoid bleeding (if you're not one to want the tannins in the wood turning your water red)! Good luck! Excited to see how the tank looks when you've got everything set up!

Woods been in soak over a week now already.

Id need a bloody big pan to boil it in haha. A meter long :)

Best way i find with the bigger volume of water. Luckly we have a jacuzzi down stairs so i can keep it in there. free's up the bath then so it keeps the wife happy not having to take it out all the while :)

Ooh, how posh! A jacuzzi sounds nice, especially when it's so stupidly cold at the turn of Spring.

We dont use it that often tbh. Its nice now and then to relax the old muscles but id rather turn it into an indoor pond and have some koi in it lol

Lost patience with ND aquatics in the end. Their customer serves is horrific! Gone for the 5ft Juwel rio instead.

Stocking wise the barbs will be moved across and im thinking of some bigger fish to go in with them. Possible cichlids...Electric blue acara's/Rainbow's/t-bars etc. Not 100% on which yet tho, id like a group rather then individuals. Got to do some research first:)
