well it was a great talking to a friend about fish we had plenty to talk about when it comes to livebearers, killifish / peat spawning killifish and many types of cichlids
and as usual there's always a fish that interests me, so I got offered three pairs of nice-looking swordtails the original pair was bought from a pet shop although its aquarium strain it's very similar to a wild-type xiphophorus-alvarezi.

Yes, Alvarezi swordtails are mostly ferm build as well. But the swords are longer than these have.
But yes, they're beautiful...!

My Xiphophorus alvarezi tank (combined with porthole livebearers (Poeciliopsis gracilis, Rio del oro)

I'm in Manchester (UK) and would be interested to obtain fry or young from these if you ever have spares.

I've not collecting any fry from the swordtails yet but can do so,
tomorrow i will put the female in a separate tank for her to drop fry and when available can post some to you

Thanks I'd be really grateful - I doubt I've got anything of interest to send you in exchange. I should have soon fry of a good orange hi fin maculata, I have youngsters from a good orange lyretail helleri, I may have some montezumae but no collection details when they arrived ( given after male too young to confirm), if I can catch Hetrandria formosa. Kohaku koi swords.
