My 20g long went from ew to WOW in 1 months time.

1 month ago:

Current stock:

10 Blood-Fin Tetras
5 Julii Cory Cats
Shrimp/snails

Plants:

Anacharis (broad and narrow leafed)
Vals
Crypts
Java Fern
Java Moss

Equipment:

Filter: Aqueon QuitFlow
Heater: Aqueon 20g
Light: Necrew Classis LED

(I also use the NilocG Thrive Caps - I’m really impressed with them)

The basic layout of the tank has stayed the same, just some new plants were added. My 20g long is no longer my “shame tank”.

Thank you! It really is - I thought my tank would never look good.

The bloodfin tetras are super skidish, but absolutely beautiful. They have slightly see-through bodies and you can see their organs. Maybe pictures will come later, if they allow me...

Wow your tank is beautiful!! Do you use any fertilizers? I've had some trouble with finding a fertilizer that works.

Thank you! I use the NilocG Thrive Caps. They are annoying because they float like a life preserver, but they do the job. Just make sure you bury them good, or they will pop back out. $17 for 60+ tabs isn’t a bad deal, it’s actually really good. No problem! Hope they work out for you. (Iwould choose those over Fluval root tabs)
