Hi, I am a relatively newby that has neon tetras with what I think is cotton mouth. In the same tank are loaches, plates and a fighter. I don’t have a quarantine tank to separate the fish. What is the best treatment I can use as I understand this can infect the whole tank. Any help would be appreciated. I have attached a picture.

I can't help you with the treatment but suggest you may get a faster response posting this in the fish emergency section.

Is it only the neon that's affected?
There seems to be a neon-specific virus appeared which causes white on their mouths. It doesn't seem to affect them so the usual advice is to do nothing other than monitor them.

Yes just the neons, there is about 4 of them with the same thing.

If only neons are affected it does sound like this virus. There is no cure for viruses so monitor them and if the fish start having problems eating, then unfortunately that's when you'll need to euthanise them. No-one likes doing this but when it's affecting them so badly they can't eat it's the kindest thing to do. But until then, they'll carry on as if there was nothing wrong.
