And here's the lovely leather sports seats I bought for £200 off EBay - they're worth twice that, so I'm laughing!

The reason there's no back view? I'm still working on that bit - I'll keep y'all posted!

LMAO

Despite recent problems, I've continued work on the Bug, and the most recent task was to remove the AWFUL vinyl roof the last owner fitted. Doesn't fit and looks naff. So, time to go....

Here, the reason for the vinyl roof becomes clear - the owner didn't paint the roof when he repainted the car!

Here it is from the back - because the owner didn't use enough glue, it didn't take too much solvent, tugging and swearing to remove :p

...and here's the roof off. It looks bad now, but it isn't really, it's just glue residue and primer!

And here's the car in its current status - stripped of its vinyl and chrome, ready for its repaint and chassis repair.

Reminds me of my two 'bugs'

1) A black 1303s with full 911 bodykit and 2.0l engine which ended up embedded in a farm outhouse (combination of ice and no weight over the front wheels)

2) A blue, white & orange 1303 with full 911 bodykit which i sold :(

I would love to get another.........maybe a splitty camper this time :D

Anyway, good luck with the project Samage and keep posting the pics

And here it is, Post-Respray! :D A lovely shiny coat of Royal Blue! More pics will be added once the car is in the back garden again, just got it home. :d:D

OMG Your VW Look so Cool.

I would lOve to Have a VW as My Next Car and Mod It.

If Only, I wonder How much it would Be to Fit an Automatic Transmission To a VW.
