Overhere some of my gold guppies. They do look a bit similar to platinum guppies. They´re striking to see. The amazing thing of this strain is that the females are bronze/gold well.

No, the platies you see are grey bodied wild platies. They've got a mark on the caudal pendule. This is something that does occur with more wild platies. The first ones I've got were caught in Mexico back in 2019 by a friend of mine (with the same last name like mine). He also writes relevant articles about livebearers.
The marking that this strain has got looks a but similar to today's commercial strain of Mickey Mouse platies. The Mickey Mouse mark came from a wild platy and isn't a fancy mark.

I don´t use any fertilizers.
Wild platies aren´t schooling fish but they do shoal from time to time.

Most of my fish are not purchased from an lfs. This is because special species won't sell too hard. And they may cost a bit more. Which makes them a bit hard to sell at an average lfs.

Honeslty id even pay $8 for a wild swordtail

dull green one that looks like neon swordtail. also wild guppies, and wild platies.
Here's a link where you'll be able to see some wild swordtails:
This is not a commercial site but just informative.

So pretty! But so scary! Livebearers give me nightmares. They breed so much! If you look into my 40 gallon, guess what you see? Baby guppies EVERYWHERE!
