Having looked at the photographs I can’t pick out anything that is unusual about its appearance. It perhaps looks slightly under weight relative to the other jet black fish.

Is the fish eating?

The only issue I can see is the tail curves slightly upwards on the fish in the first pic, and the female in the 4th pic has bites in her tail.

Make sure the GH is around 250ppm or higher for mollies.

Make sure they get plenty of plant matter in their diet.

What would make the tail curve like that, do you have any ideas? Its not changed from when we got him but obviously could be a previous issue. My GH is 16 so I believe it to be hard enough. I am rather new to this and I admit its alot to get my head around. The tank has 6 live plants in at the moment and he also seems to eat the sinking pellets, if you have any other advice on food it would be great as want them to thrive. Thank you.

Yes he is eating. However, I will keep an extra eye on him for a few days to make sure he is consuming enough and not being pushed out the way. Thank you
