Hi everyone! It’s been a while since I’ve been online. Anyway, I just noticed that my betta’s eye looks cloudy... of course, the one time I try to take a picture of him he has to be super active. What is wrong? Also, it appears to be both of his eyes...

better pic of his eye? he is maybe stressed so there is mucus build up. try doing a water change, always helps to remove murkiness.

Bettas like to sit amongst floating plants, makes them feel safe. I think he is just stressed

This is usually happens due to poor water quality. Do you know your water parameters? I would recommend you perform daily water changes of 75% as well as vacuuming your substrate for a week. Rinse your filter within the bucket of dirty water when you perform your first waterchange and wipe down the inside of the tank glass with an aquarium sponge. Add a tablespoon of of salt for every 5 gallons. I belive @Colin_T has a very detailed description of how to do salt treatment floating around on various threads across the forum. This should clear up the problem and maintain it by performing regular, large water changes.
