Can anyone identify these things in my fish tank? I have this odd fuzzy algae, it doesn’t have the slimy or stringy texture of hair algae and every time I remove it t grows back. It clings to the soil so I have to remove soil every time I get rid of some. All other algae removal techniques don’t seem to have worked.
the brown worm type things from my spider wood are very slimy and nearly impossible to get off. It’s not actual worms, but they grow quite quickly too.
many ideas how to get rid of either of these??

I’ve now worked out the algae is cladophora (oh no). If anyone has any tips that would be greatly appreciated. Still not sure on the slimy brown things, each thread is quite thick.
