Hello. So I’ve had a Betta I’ve adopted from petsmart for a while now. He had a swim bladder problem. I’ve literally tried everything, daphnia, peas, Epsom salt, fasting, you name it. I’m 200% sure it’s not constipation now. Want to try treating with antibiotics ASAP as I’ve started noticing some pineconing and think it’s bacterial. Trouble is I’m limited to petsmarts supply which isn’t a lot. Em Erythromycin seems to be the only one they have :/. No kanaplex or furan 2 or anything -_- and petcos selection is even worse. was wondering if anyone would mind giving me a full list of meds that will likely work so I can try hunt something down. and if I find something, will have to mix them with food to treat since problem is internal? What amount of meds do I use? Amazon and online takes at least a week to get here (maybe even longer) so that’s not really an option. gonna check some other stores tomorrow to see what meds theyve got. Gonna epsom salt bath him again too to hopefully help him.

Either you shake it in with food or do it with blood worm as I doing it now.

What kind of med are you going to use?
Well the only ones that were in the big stores were em erythromycin and api fin n body cure. None of which really are really sufficient I think and all the local stores are closed so I have to just wait and ordered kanaplex. Should be here Tuesday. Got him in a 2.5gal with 2 teaspoons of Epsom salt and hoping that will keep the swelling down a bit till it gets here.

Can you find Metronidazole, Praziquentel or levamisole in UK?

Can we see te picture of the fish?
Sorry it’s not a very good one. Don’t wanna move him. He’s also beginning to get a bit of a fin rot problem. Wanna get the boyency under control before I treat for that though. Unfortunately because how he’s positioned it’s hard to see but his scales are also lifted slightly.
