Hi everyone,

I noticed what started off as a small red mark beneath my female rams dorsal fin about a week ago. I thought nothing of it and assumed she may have just brushed against some of the wood or rock in my tank. This may still be the case, but I'm hoping someone can confirm its not a disease of some sort. I've noticed this morning its developed into more of a lump rather than a mark. Its tricky to get photos, but hopefully it shows up enough.

The tanks been established for about a year, and the levels are all stable. PH around 6.8, ammonia and nitrite at 0, nitrate tends to hover around the 10-20ppm. There's 8 cardinal tetras and a male ram in with her. Initially he chased her a little bit but now they swim around together and aren't bothered by each other. However, once the fish have been fed, I notice he does have a tendency to chase the cardinals and the female around for about 15 minutes after, which if this is damage from a scrap or some of the decor, is probably caused from that.

She's a relatively new fish to the scape, added on the 4th October.

Hopefully someone can identify whether or not I should be alarmed by this.

Thanks in advance,
George

UPDATE!!

As you can see from the latest image, the wound is getting worse. Seems to be opening up now. Anyone got any advise for next steps?
