It’s very cool! I’ll have quite the planted tank after a while!lol yes, that's Java fern, it can propagate that way, or by new plants growing from the rhizome at the bottom
I’ll probably do the same because I’ll eventually run out of room for all these babies!Yep, I've made a lot of friends in the hobby giving away Java fern leaf clones. Amazon swords do much the same thing.
Oh haha it’s not real but thank youyour Ambulia (plant on the right) is suffering from a lack of iron.
Haha I wonder how they even got in there! But if there’s a will there’s a way!You probably won’t believe it, but I have a super small baby java fern growing in my filter cartridge. I’ll upload a picture later, but it’s super funny.
Artificial plants chronically suffer from lack of iron.Oh haha it’s not real but thank you
Very hard to propagate as well, can’t seem to figure out why (;Artificial plants chronically suffer from lack of iron.
I kind of hate fake looking plastic plants so I always try and get super realistic ones maybe that’s why lol! And I’m kinda exited for it! I’ve always wanted a planted tank but can’t afford co2 injections or special lightings so this is very nice that my little java fern decided to stem lots of little baby Java’sIt does look very real, but like a sickly real plant, it's odd. lol!
You'll have more java fern than you know what to do with soon
You don't need CO2 or fancy lighting to have a planted tank! Mine is only a cheap £28 light from amazon, some root tabs and a cheap liquid fertiliser, but I set this tank up August 25th, and I'm pretty pleased with plant growth in that space of timeI kind of hate fake looking plastic plants so I always try and get super realistic ones maybe that’s why lol! Oh wow that looks amazing! I definitely think I’ll start adding some more live plants. 50% of my plants now are live and hopefully I can get that up to 100%! Any recommendations for low light and hard water? I do have some fert and liquid co2 if that helpsYou don't need CO2 or fancy lighting to have a planted tank!
