Fish Crazy
Jupiter got a huge upgrade from a 3.5 to a 20 gallon as a center piece in the living room. We’ve got some creeping Charlie and some Ludwigia repens I think lol. A sponge filter on the left and a box filter on the right (not in the picture) with phosguard in a media bag because I have discovered the reason I have such a problem with diatoms is because my tanks are new but also our tap water is ridiculously high in phosphorus and silicates. I also have a heater in there but it’s not pictured.
So I’m wanting to add a bottom feeder but Jupiter is the main concern here. I’ve never seen him flare like my other fish, but I still want to be careful and not stress him out. I’m thinking about some cory’s? There is some space between the rocks that they can hide in. I’m slowly going to add more and more plants to make the tank pretty dense as well. I know they’re schooling fish, so how many should I get for a 20 gallon long, taking Jupiter into consideration? Or if there is a better fish someone recommends I’m all ears. I’m hesitant to do tetras because I’ve heard they can nip and I’m tired of medicating tanks LOL
