Hi all,
when I got my plants I noticed ich on my fish, so I had no choice but to raise the temps to 87f for two weeks. After that was gone I lowered to 74f. About 3 weeks have passed since then and in that time I have experienced very little to no plant growth and they are now covered in algae. I have experienced algae blooms as well. I scraped the algae off the glass and then do a water change and it is not coming back as strong now. I also got some mystery snails to help out and they are super cool! My only plant that is still green and vibrant is my vallisneria. even my Java fern is having trouble and I hear that’s a really hardy plant. I put some root tabs in about a month ago and the instructions say to add every 3 months, I got them off amazon because they had a pretty good review. Is there anything I can do? I hope at least my Java fern can come back because it’s glued to my driftwood. Thanks!
