These guys are so cool with their big black eyes. Took them about 5 minutes to figure out that algae discs are food
Their lucky they have such a nice owner :). I'd love to see a picture of the parents.

These guys I rescued about two weeks ago from a community tank. I am going to see how they get on living close to each other. African cichlids often fight over territory, I thought if they were raised and kept together from the start it might help to remove some of that tension. At the moment there is 25 of them in my 100 liter tank. I will move some on as they grow and find a happy balance.

They love their algae disc's at night. Sorry about the quality of the photo the sun is on the tank

They are starting to get braver, it is wonderful watching them eating mosquito larvae.

So an update. I have just sold 13 of these guys ($5 each), and have around 9 left. I need to get rid of another 4 or 5. So then I will end up with a little family group in my 100 liter tank.

So the odd ball ones have ended up being Blue Dolphins, what the heck don't ask, I have no idea. And a photo of Mum looking happy with her self now that 5 of her babies are back plus 3 Blue Dolphins????

These are the kids I have 11 in a 100 liter tank trying to sell another six or so but they have all but grown up now. We are having a few fights now but nothing that I'm worried about. It is amazing to watch this group of fish grow up together and except each other as part of their community. I am hoping that I will get a pair to spawn in this system.
