Does anyone have advice? My lil black moor has a red tummy now and sits at the floor of our tank. When we bought him a year and half ago, he had a crooked lil fun, part of his tail fin. He has always struggled a bit to swim, but he has thrived and held his own. Now this

Test the water for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and pH. Post results in numbers here.

Post pictures of the fish.

Do a 75% water change and gravel clean the substrate every day for a week or until we work out what is going on.
Make sure any new water is free of chlorine/ chloramine before it's added to the tank.

We did exactly that, ammonia was at 1.5 about. Changed out water and treated it.
He started moving about eating a few hours later. Thi was good, and thus evening the redness has almost gone away!! I am amazed!

That fish looks underweight to me. @Deanasue?

Hard to tell. Angle of first pic does but 2nd pic looks OK. Can we get a full side shot?

Her size has not changed at all, it's just the angle. She is smaller than the others, she has a deformed tail fin, struggles a bit as she swims, but has thrived since we got her over a year ago. She eats well, has a good appetite.
Ah, I thought it could be an angle issue. That being said she looks really good for being impaired. If you ever see her go without food, try feeding her selectively by putting the majority of food one one side and then a little as far away as possible from the large group of fish feeding. I would love to see a side picture, she has very nice coloration!

You could also get some duckweed. Goldies love it, and it will allow for more consistent food for weaker fish :)

Thank u! She started out all black like our other one, and started showing orange spots on each side, which has grown. Lol, we worried and started researching what could be wrong. Found out she is part orange gold fish and part black moor.. We love her two tone coloring!❤️❤️

She’ll probably end up all orange. I have 2 that were black and now almost all orange.
