I have a 30L or 60L BiOrb aquarium I emptied it a few months ago when I got a new 200L tropical aquarium but I now wanted to set it up again I cleaned it up then went to fill it with water and found a crack in the side that is leaking water does anyone know how I can fix it as a new one is very expensive help would be greatly appreciated

Is it along a seam or through the glass panel?
The tank is either plastic or acrillic not sure but it is right on the side of the tank I think I may have dropped it sometime I have some hot glue on there now but not sure if it will hold permanently and don’t know if it’s aquarium safe

Hot glue is aquarium safe.
If it is acrylic it can be glued using the right glue and wicking it into the crack, it's a solvent that will "weld" the crack closed and once it has evaporated away will be safe. You may need to polish the area after.

It looks pretty small, are you sure it's not a 15 litre biorb? Worth measuring the circumference and checking, since the volume will make a big difference to what you can stock in it, even more so with a round tank like a biorb.

Hi I can’t remember as I bought it a few years ago it was £80 the height of it is around 18.5 cm and width is around 14cm does this help ?

Will the hot glue hold it permanently ?

The pets at home points system is deeply flawed. It doesn't take into account schooling species, the shape of the tank, lots of other factors. Please don't look to pets at home for fish keeping or stocking advice.

You have to consider the horizontal space of the tank, as well as the volume. 14 cms wide, at the very widest point - is not a lot of swimming room for fish, who go side to side, not up and down. Have to be very careful what fish can go in a tank of this size and shape, but please don't listen to pets at home, that's all I'm saying. Do you own research on whatever species of fish you're thinking of, before you buy them. How big they get as adults, minimum tank size, do they suit your water parameters in terms of GH and pH, are they likely to breed, etc.

used to listed to the pets at home but in the last 6 months I have got deeper in the the hobby and learnt the importance of researching what fish I get in which tank I do eraser has quite a bit but it takes me a week or so to decide what fish I want as I am normally stuck between two good options I now buy fish from and get advice from a local fish shop called pier aquatics who are very knowledgeable about fishkeeping ☺️

Awesome!
It takes me ages to decide on fish too, I'm still trying to decide what to add to a tank with my otocinclus, and I've been thinking about it for months, lol. Still, better to be sure rather than impulse buying :)
