Heya, I’m pretty darn new to fish keeping, and I don’t know what is wrong with my molly.
I’ve had this particular tank set up for a few weeks now. The fish were originally in a 10 gallon that I have, and I upgraded them to a 20. (Eventually I’m looking to get them into a 29 or 55 gallon.)

Tank size: 20 gal
pH: 7.0
ammonia: 0.25-0 (color wasn’t necessarily the green it showed for .25, but also not the yellow for 0. I did treat it soon after though.)
nitrite: 0
nitrate:
kH: don’t know
gH: don’t know
tank temp: 80 degrees fahrenheit

Fish Symptoms (include full description including lesion, color, location, fish behavior): He seemed to be acting normally earlier, and ate just like he always does, but now he is staying at the bottom of the tank, sometimes just laying there. His tail is also curling sometimes when he swims. Just before he started to act weird he had a very odd poop that started yellow, then returned to its normal brown.

Volume and Frequency of water changes: I like to give my tank a 20 percent change every week, though I have yet to do one this week.

Chemical Additives or Media in your tank: I don’t think there are any chemical additives in the tank. The only things I have used on it are water conditioners and treatment for ammonia.

Tank inhabitants: 3 rosy red minnows (who are in here temporarily as I cycle their tank), 3 mollies, 4 ghost shrimp, and a bristlenose pleco.

Recent additions to your tank (living or decoration): I recently put in two rosy red minnows on Friday, but they were all fine and came from a trustworthy store.

Exposure to chemicals: I don’t think any chemicals were ever introduced in the tank, but I did recently add some water conditioner.

Digital photo (include if possible):

Before I
I fed the fish again and he ate with them, but then returned to acting like before. He did not care to go after the algae wafer, which he usually does, he just sat there.

I treated the ammonia, so I’ll have to test it again.
I managed to grab a picture of him swimming with the curled tail

When you say you treated the ammonia, what does that mean? Did you add something to the tank like ammo-lock?

Please do a 75% water change before doing anything else. Wipe down the sides of the glass first, then give the substrate a good gravel-vac as you're doing the water change. Then come back here, and let us know what you mean by treating the ammonia, and any other info you can share please :)

How long have you had the molly, what filter do you use, and how do you clean the filter? When did you move them into the 20gallon?
