Spent about 30 minutes last night trimming and replanting Anacharis in my 20g long tank. Looks much better now. Also moved some of the rocks around. The huge clump of java moss you see will eventually go on a nice piece of driftwood. (If I can find one outside today...)

Anyway, here you go:

I do have a question though... where should a bar light be placed? In the middle of the tank? Front? Back?

It used to be in the middle, but I moved it to the back last night. @Ch4rlie

Hmm, it actually looks alright when it is at the moment, the plants will tell you if it’s no good there with their plant growth.

Trail and error really when it comes to positions of light bars, even the height of the light bar itself can have an effect but leave it where it is for a few weeks and see how the plants grow.

Ok, thank you.

There seems to be 2 notch’s in the bar adjustments (not like the light on your 3ft).

The photo won’t upload at the moment. I’ll try again later.

Keep as they are for now.

If you think plants need more lights after a few weeks then put down one more notch.

Step by step approach is best when comes to lights and plants.

Imo I don’t like the look of bluish light you got there, it looks weird to be honest.

Yes... me neither. If you have ever seen pictures of my 29g tank - that is the type of light I prefer. :)
