Hi all !
Does anyone have this filter?

I am having trouble adjusting the flow rate.
The knob is tight, it clicks, I'm afraid it's jammed or something snd I don't notice any difference in flow. I've put a plate in and a plant to divert flow for now, at least.
Thanks!

Hi @vanalisa i found this video on youtube about it as i've had a Fluval U4 come with mine and i just love it quiet & powerful.

Thanks, review didn't address the issue but I very much appreciate your time.

I have a 5g Fuval spec; absolutely love it.
So does Niblit:

Sorry i was unable to help more, i would take it back or send it back and state what's happening.

I looked at the fluval spec on Amazon but was a bit iffy on buying one with peoples reviews, so i got a 5 gallon hexagon with top filter system.

I believe @Byron has them

Yes, I have two of these filters, I really like them. I did adjust the flow on the first one I bought, and that was 3 years ago but it did work. I have the one I am now using on the 40g at the highest flow setting so it pushes down the rear length of the tank which houses my 40+ cories.

Let me know if it works better please :good:
I apologize I got pulled away.

Well I'm glad I only spent $10 on the filter.
Part of the adjustment wheel was broken either when I bought it or was fiddling with it. It works fantastic in general, but I have it in a 20g and it is labeled for up to 40g. I have put a long rectangular "sushi" type plate in front of it vertically which does a great job, but the top surface is pretty rambunctious. I put an Anubius next to it and there are lovely teeny bubbles filtering through that.
I have 7 Pseudomugil furcatus that seem to love the bubbles and look as if they are able to navigate in and out of the area all right. Far side and down low have pockets of still areas.
I've been keeping an eye out (ouch, always afraid it won't go back in) and they seem to be utilizing the whole tank. I am going to have to get some more gravel as it is low and I'm not too thrilled at the thought of that plate moving. I really think my main concern is that my fish are SO active. I'm not sure if they are stressed or it's the water flow...
More likely it is stress because of the male female ratio. I had 9, (3m 6f), and lost 2 females due to a horrid mistake. I fear I will lose the weakest male as there is a lot of chasing. I suppose the ratio will be better but I had wanted a larger group of these fish as I adore them.
What I will most likely do is put a 20g filter on it and then an air stone for their bubbling pleasure. Or, if they seem adjusted to the filter I'll leave it as it I think it looks interesting.

There are quite often eggs but with fungus.
I really want more of these so I have been thinking I'll get up early and take my eye out again to scour for clear eggs. I've found many but can't seem to see them through when I move them. Been thinking about spawning mops, have Hikari First Bites (raising minnow fry), but man my tanks are taking over my life.
I've been battling disease for a while now, Columnaris...Septaceamia...a combo? I have some dwxwnt images of symptoms when I get time I need to post.
I am at my wits end.
Sorry for the long reply.
