Hey,

My Christmas's Moss came today and I'm unsure what too do with it.

I have had a browse and some say too float and others say to put it onto ornaments etc with fish wire.

Is it best to float it or put onto something?

I would try to remove as much dead sections as you can first. Once you do that, you can attach it to your decor or driftwood, wherever you see fit.

You can use superglue, fishing line, or thread. (I find that black, marine grade thread works the best)

Enjoy!

(Just to give you an idea on placement, here is java moss (simple to Christmas moss) in my 29g tank)

I must be the worst fish keeper :(

I don't have any wire, so thought I would float it until I manage too get some...

It didn't float, just falls apart and creates more work :(

Mange to remove the bulk of it, but now got all small floating bits, now gotta do a tank change again.

That can happen...

Try to clump it up in your hands first. Don’t crush it or anything, just gently squeeze.

If it is falling apart, I recommend using superglue - remove the decor from the water and superglue the moss to it.

Superglue...!!!

Love that look on you, PK .

Remember, I'm the weirdo who is scared to put superglue in her tanks, is clumsy and fumbles the thread, and is afraid the ends of bread ties will rust, and and and...and ends up wasting her money on moss because it never gets attached to anything?

Superglue...!!!
"real" brand name super glue is aquarium safe :)
I wouldn't use a cheap unknown brand since I don't know the ingredients, but I've been assured that the real deal is aquarium safe, it cures when it comes into contact with water, and was after all designed to hold wounds closed. I'm rubbish at tying any plants on, so glue it is!

I don't know what's wrong with me, we've decided, me, myself, and I.

Can't you leave the bits?
