That looks like mouth fungus, which is caused by Flavobacterium Bacteria.

It's just that I know where the OP's location, Conwy, is - on the coast of North Wales. The Anglicised place name is Conway, Conwy is the Welsh spelling. At one time we lived not far from there, just over the border in England.

thanks for help guys so far i have decided to give the danio baths in methylene blue seems to be working it is coming down and im also treating the whole tank with melafix
