I just switched my betta over from a 3.5 to a 5 gallon and the light sucks... (see picture). Idk if you can tell but since it’s under the waterfall it does a strobe effect and doesn’t light the front of the aquarium, so there’s shadows and you can see the beautiful colors of my betta. So I went on amazon and order this clip on light because it looked like you could adjust it. Just wondering if anyone knew of anything better because it’s not too late to cancel and get something else.

I would look for a clip light similar to this:

I have found 2 at Goodwill, so look there. They are fairly old, so I don’t know the brand name. But, they are extremely good. Just get a bright LED bulb, and you are good to go.

(Most clip lights you find on Amazon are made for reading, aka not that bright)

Perfect, thanks!

I got this one at Lowe's, for around $23. Which is cheaper than the pet store has any of their lights.

Is that a divided betta tank? If so, what size? I’m thinking about doing that eventually

This is a 5.5 gallon and I have the petco brand filter on it with a baffle. I also have a divided 10 gallon. For the 5.5 O would go with females or plakat males, since there is not as much room for long fins. The attached pic is of my 10 gal betta tank. If at all possible I would go with black dividers but amazon was out of the black and only had blue. I made the dividers myself.

Looks really neat! I was thinking of getting a 10 - 15 gallon and giving them each 5 gallons.
