What can I do

I had a bit of an algae problem recently, bright green growths on the glass, with greenish water. I've managed to settle that problem by reducing the amount of light in the tank. I haven't been able to get the growths on the plants under control.
I've cut back/trimmed most of the plant due to growth removing a fair amount of the algae at the time but its seems to have just come back.

Can anyone suggest what this is.. and how I can prevent it and remove it?

Temp is 24 all other parameters are fine.

"Problem" algae occurs when the balance of light and nutrients is out. This can be too bright light, not bright enough for the plants, too much plant nutrients, or not sufficient. Sometimes decreasing the duration of the light, assuming the intensity and spectrum are OK and the plant nutrients are adequate, can help. As can adding floating plants.

Keeping the glass free of algae is relatively simple; with the light/nutrients in reasonable balance a scrape of the glass with a sponge-type scraper at each weekly water change will stop it before it starts.
