Well I figured it was about time for a falx update, and also gotta show off the brand new brood of platies. There are like 30 or something, I can't count them they either hide or move too fast. Anyways, first I'll show mommy since she is very pretty and a lot of them will probably look like her. :nod:

(She has ich now though... wish us luck conquering it.) Scuze sucky pic, I had just got her and didn't wanna disturb her too much. Look how fat! :lol:

Her kiddos! I'd say like 2/3 of them have the beginnings of either twin bars or wag tails like mommy... and the others don't. I'm excited that there will be some differences, because all my previous batches have been identical!

And this last pic I'm very proud of. It's the clearest shot I have of them so far. Here are two of the biggest meaty ones. :flex:

Obviously they're still small, but compare them with the baby under the heater. And look at them, they're starting to get stripes like their parents. :wub:

Silver if you mean that you wish you had some falx babies, I may take you up on that in a few months. They grow slowly, but when they get bigger I'm gonna be looking for some homes for them. I'll definitely be trying to sell some to forum people. :nod:

Now this may sound TOTALLY ANAL to you, but those aren't bettas.........are they??

Silver, it's ok. A lot of people have asked that actually. They are bettas, but obviously not the type you see in stores. Those are Betta splendens, and these are Betta falx. There are many types of bettas in fact, we are just rarely exposed to the wild types! :nod:
