Wrapping up this 20g long java fern tank. Need recommendations on what would stand out in this tank. It is right at the entrance of my house and would love something that grabs your attention. Thanks!
pH-7.6
GH -8
KH - 4

Hi,
It looks so nice!
You could make it into a cichlid tank - they are bright and beautiful, however they can be territorial.
Here are some more ideas:
20g stocking ideas
15-20g stocking ideas
Hope this helps :)
Not sure big cichlids are a good idea but thanks for the links. I’ve always been interested in a shoal of panda cories. I think those are really cool but not sure if they’d stand out.

I agree, I am not so sure that big Cichlids would be a good idea. What is your substrate? In the picture it looks like it could be sand, but I am not sure. Coreis should have a sand substrate and should be kept in a group of 8 or more (more being best). They are great fish with plenty of personality, so although they might not be a "show stopper" in the tank when people walk through the door, I would still consider them (as long as your substrate is sand) as they are bottom dwellers, and you can still add some middle/upper level fish. Your pH and GH are suited for softwater fish such as Tetras. I think that a nice large school of two different types of Tetras would be just as Dramatic as adding one or two large colorful fish. Perhaps a school of Rummy nose tetras (they are one of the most tightly schooling fish out there and they are very pretty in a large school) and another school of Harlequin Rasboras? Sometimes the schooling action of fish can be just as much as a "show stopper" as a large colorful fish... Just a suggestion! :) Either way, you have a beautiful tank, and the plants are awesome!

Panda cories would be good, especially if you have black substrate like I do,(not sure if you do though) they would stand out. :)

I posted a picture above. I do have black sand as a substrate. How many rummy nose tetras could I fit in there?

I'm so sorry..... I got confused with another photo from another forum.
Out of my research I think 10 tetras would fit, I may be wrong though. :)
