@Salty&Onion, an Ammonia spike would make them want to crawl out. That could be it.

I do have a pair of amano shrimp, the female is obsessed about carrying eggs so what to expect?

No, Amano shrimp don't eat any live fry or shrimplets. They feed mainly on organics like uneaten food, rotting/dying plant matter and dead fish/shrimp.
