Hi everyone,
I’m new to fish keeping and have one new Betta,I bought the fish two days ago and it was sold as a Male Crowntail baby, however I have noticed a small white spot on belly between the two lower fins, which made me think maybe female (the fins also don’t look long enough to me, but what do I know ) I did a little research and found out that males can grow a fake egg spot to trick other males, so how do I confirm the sex? I emailed the store I purchased the fish from and they have assured me it’s a baby Male. I will attach a pic, the betta’s body is 1inch in length. Your replies are much appreciated!
