Need advice on moving fish

I stay away from using soil and prefer to plant in gravel or sand and use plant taps (flourish) for my rooted plants. Those soils wear out after a year or two and then you have a mess replacing it.

It doesn't look like soil, though.
And there is no liquid stuff like in their
"Eco-complete"
I'm going to rinse it well and mix it with black gravel. I did that already for the minnow tank.
 
I have also been thinking how my store still has quite a few of the furcatus. Pretty pricey, though.
But, I do know they are healthy because it is the same group I got mine from. Pretty likely they are all healthy. How cool if I got 9 more. I like the way they kind of wiggle when they swim!
