How are my water conditions?

Hello

I am currently 10 days into carrying out a planted cycle of my 240l tank.

I have tested (using API Freshwater Master Test Kit) the water conditions every couple of days. As of today my water conditions are:

pH - 7.6
High Range pH - 8.0
Ammonia - 0
Nitrite - 0
Nitrate - 40

Are the results reflective of the stage I'm at in my cycle?

Here is a list of the plants I currently have in my tank:

1x Java Moss on Half Coconut
2x Water Sprite
3x Anacharis
1x Dwarf Hairgrass
1x Broad Leaf
1x Eriocaulon Cinereum
1x Juncus Repens
1x Moneywort
Large piece of Driftwood

The plants have shown some growth, I have included an image below which shows the comparison. The top image was taken this evening and the bottom image was taken 6 days ago.

Your nitrate is way high, at a toxic level. Test your tap water and see if it's coming from there. Everything else looks good tho

The Nitrate in my tap water is also ready 40ppm.

The plants look great, are you using any type of plant food?

Wowzers thats unfortunate im not sure id drink that, thats really high. Anything above 20 is dangerous to fish. Get more plants to maybe absorb some of it to put a dent in it.
Plants dont mind nitrates that high but thatll kill fish.

Yeah her/his tap water with 40ppm of nitrates. I wouldnt add any plant fert with nitrate which is most.

Thank you! Yes I am currently using Easy Life Profito once a week. So I've added two doses so far.

That was part of my thinking too, with no fish it is not a problem now. I thought that the plants would absorb more nitrate

Whats the % of nitrates in your fertilzer???
Cuz 40ppm is pretty high and adding more is going to cause problems when adding fish.

They can only absorb so much 40ppm us a lot even for a heavy planted tank, plus with the added fert thats more nitrates

For now with no fish the nitrate level is not a problem, I would pick up more plants. fast growing like your anaccharis, and water sprite, also moss balls which are really a form of algae can help.

Apparently this brand doesnt use nitrates or phosphates, which is odd as plants need nitrogen and phosphates.
In this case though its a good thing no nitrates because obviously enough out of the tap. One can get phosphorous from fish food
