Hi, I was just wondering if my set up for the breeding box is in any way going to harm my fish, the place where the babies drop through floats up so I have placed two air stones in each side in the gaps to hold it down. (They arent connected to an air pipe) then I have an airpipe
Slightly in the water switched on so she is still getting oxygen in her water as it seems a bit still being in the breeding box

Please dont keep her in a breeding box, it stresses her a lot and she could abort the fry. Add lots of plants to the main tank, move her back there and after the fry are born transfer them to the box

For a breeder box, this does have some space. I´ve seen them smaller...
I´m not a big fan of breeder boxes but I´m not quite against a breeder box of this size.
I also do have to admit that back in the days, using a breeder box was quite normal. And I also have to say that hardly problems occurred with the pregnant ladies. Of course, they should be able to move sufficiently.
My variatus platies drop their fry in the tanks and will leave them alone.
