Dang! They are fighting a bit, I’ll have to separate them and try find a male from another pet store. Thanks!

Ok, good shout, she has the nicer colours however.
off to go get two males....

Can I ask a silly question?

The fish on the left looks like the photos of female kribs (Pelvicachromis pulcher), but the one on the right looks like the photo on Seriously Fish of female Pelvicachromis taeniatus 'Moliwe'.
My question is, are the two fish in the first post the same species?

I do hope so? They seem to be interacting and locking lips, so definitely do not like each other...

just been to my local pet store and the Kribs all seem to be females (rounded tails)

Is this one a male? Seems to have straight front fins compared to the other two which are curved...

Edited to add that the females do not seem to be picking on this one too

By the way, is it usual for the females to fight? The (deformed) one seems very aggressive towards the other female.

The deformed one also curls her side and shakes a bit, is this a sign of aggression, or is the fish confused and thinks it’s trying to impress?
It’s a similar action to what my rainbows do, but they do that when spawning so wondering what’s going on?
It may be some kind of defence move I suppose...
