Beta question

My new beta fish I got from petsmart has this patch on his head of missing scales or I’m not quite sure what it is but I’ve put stress coat in his new tank and his new environment is much bigger and nicer, he’s eating perfectly normal he’s fast his fins look beautiful and he doesn’t act lethargic I’m not sure if this is just meant to be there or if something is wrong please help.

If the fish is acting fine and eating, then you should not worry about it. If the fish has any ripped fins or missing scales, it will heal on its own. No need to add medications for healing missing scales or ripped fins. Just feed the fish a protein diet and do water changes.

Do large water changes every day or every other day for a few weeks to prevent it getting infected
