My local fish store had Java Fern.
Naturally, I bought some.
Now what?

use some string or a rubber band to attach it to some rock or driftwood.

The photo is not all that great due to my very cheap digital camera, but it will give you some idea. The lower plants are all Java Fern attached to chunks of Malaysian Driftwoods, except for the two Cryptocoryne on the right side. Floating plant is Water Sprite (Ceratopteris cornuta). As you can tell, Java Fern like shade so floating plants are almost always advisable.

I’ve got some surviving in my substrate, the rhizomes are above the gravel so aren’t rotting. The problem is the roots look like a big bunch of pubic hair. It looks much nicer and grows faster on my driftwood.

@Irksome That might become irksome.

@Byron. Nice lush tank. I new they were a beginner plant, however I did not know they liked lower light. I will definitely take that into consideration

@Retired Viking I am liking your Castle Tank. I see some fishywishys!
