hello, this is iggy. two days ago i noticed that his belly was very large and i thought he maybe had eaten too much so i havent fed him for two days (except one pellet because i felt bad for him) its gone down today but im unsure what i should do. i wasnt able to get very good pictures because hes camera shy. (im about to do a water change)

From what I can see in your pictures, no, your friend is just fine. If you're concerned, you can get some Daphnia from Amazon/your LFS (local fish store), if you're fortunate enough to have one, and give him a bit to help him poop. Half of a cooked pea will also help - and, yes, that is 1/2 of a single, cooked pea. But I think after he poops he should be fine. How long ago did you get him?

This is what Deanasue told me about treating bloated "Try fasting him for a day and then offer her a boiled, deshelled pea. You can also give him an epsom salt bath. Fill a gallon bowl with dechlorinated water the same temperature as his tank water. Add 1 teaspoon of epsom salt per gallon of water. Let him bathe in it for 15 minutes then place him back in tank. You can do this 3 times a day. The epsom salt works as a laxative. "
