Why is my male guppy so fat?

I've had this guy for about 8 months now and lately he just has been getting so fat. He eats micro pellets or flakes once a day and also nibbles on algae wafers on the bottom. He doesn't behave sick or injured. My water parameters are fine and I always do weekly water changes. Is this normal or is something wrong?

Unless it's a pregnant female but I'm pretty sure it's a male

Deffo a male, most likely just gorging on the algae wafers, fast him for a few days to see if his belly goes down.

He is a fatty male. I would agree on fasting him.

Thanks guys I'll try that. I still have to feed my other fish so it will be hard to fast just him, but I'll definitely lay off the Algae wafers for a few days and give my corys flakes for the time being.

You could just not feed anyone for 3-4 days to see if it makes a difference. FWIW I usually feed my cories when the lights go out. I don't have guppies but it certainly reduces gorging by the tetras.
