i bought this fish a while ago along with cherry barbs from my pet store and told it was an albino cherry barb. I thought this for a while as it is the same size as my other cherry barbs but over time I believe it is something different. It has a deeper V tail fin than the barbs and it’s nose is more downturned. I think it is some sort of bottom feeder based on its behavior of staying on the bottom and often picking through sand/gravel, never surface feeds and does not socialize with other cherry barbs. Any suggestions would be nice. Thanks!

I've had albino cherry barbs in the past and none of them looked like perfectly formed cherry barbs. Your photo looks like a female albino cherry barb - mine were orange males and yellow females, all with red eyes.
I think the tail fin is misleading - the batch that this one came from could also have been selectively bred to get longer fins. I have one photo of one of my albino females, and she looks to have a downturned mouth. I'll attach it so you can see.
