Hi TTF,

Noticed last night one of my male cherry barbs had some white marks on the top of his body. Hoping his just knockered it or had a scuffle with the other male and its nothing too serious.

Any ideas? Sorry best pictures of him i could take.

It might have been bitten by something. What else is in the tank?

Wipe the inside of the glass down with a clean fish sponge.

Do a 75% water change and gravel clean the substrate every day for a week. This will dilute the number of disease organisms in the water and the fish should be less likely to develop an infection.
Make sure any new water is free of chlorine/ chloramine before it's added to the tank.

Clean the filter if it hasn't been done in the last 2 weeks. Wash filter media/ materials in a bucket of tank water.

Monitor the wound and if it goes white and fluffy it has a fungal infection.
If it goes red and inflamed it has a bacterial infection.

Got zebra danios, cherry barbs, cardinal tetras, panda /three line corydoras and a BN pleco in this tank

There's not really any fish in the tank that would do that so just monitor and do daily water changes, and if it gets worse then post more pictures.
