Hi, thank you in advance for your help! So I saw these white spots on my balloon Molly fish and I quarantined them. Then I looked up ich and it doesn’t look like ich at all and when I looked up other Molly pics, they looked like they all have the same white spots. Just want to make sure this is normal! Thank you!

Hi! I can’t see the white spots you are referring to. Can you circle them for us?

I’ve circled the patches of white spots that I saw. This might just be an incredibly dumb question and be normal and shade of their scales. Im super new to fish and am finding out how much I don’t know about fish...which I always thought were super easy to care for and easy maintenance. Boy was I wrong lol.

Also, does the white fish look pregnant to you? She’s so little but she seems bulgy and when I was taking pictures of her to post, I noticed she kinda looked square in the photos. I don’t know if I’m imagining stuff now lol. Here’s a photo she looked especially square...she’s behind a net, her and the other molly like to go inside what used to be the fry tank that I keep low enough now so they can swim in and out of...but I lifted it today bc I think she’s about to have babies. Pls let me know ASAP if I’m wrong so I can lower the tank so they can swim freely again.

I do think it’s normal coloring. Just watch it.
