I started out with three adult guppies. Two female and one male. Naturally they populated. The adults both died after a few months within a week of eachother and they had bloated bellies and little white balls coming out of their stomachs, almost looked like eggs but they are live bearers.

Anyways fast forward to now, my fish have been fine, water clean and tested etc.

I have one fish now whos stomach is bloated, i thought she was pregnant but i noticed two days ago there was a bulge under her tail and she was swimming head down.

Now the bulge has moved and is under her mouth, looks like a bubble. She still eats and swims around but i know thats not normal. I took a few pics. Do you guys know what this bubble is????

Hi and welcome to the forum :)

Your picture did not work, can you try posting it again?

I can't tell anything from the picture. If you can take a few more and put them on your pc, then pick out 1 or 2 that clearly show the problem, then put those on here.

Make sure you use a flash and have the room and tank lights on so the camera picks up the fish easier. :)

Its really hard because there is a lot of fish. Is this easier?

I really can't tell what I am looking at. You need a clear picture of the fish showing the issue and no purple or blue hue. I don't know why the images have that colour but it should not be like that and does not help with identifying issues.

My fish tank has a blue light. Its not a regular lighted tank. Blue light with neon accessories. I circled the bubble.. I might have to take her out and put her in a glass. Ill do that in a few.

Ok i took them out and put the fish in a wine glass. Now there is two. But one has a white eggish looking buldge out of the fish but. But that pic is blurry. But the other one there is another pic.

The thing that looks like a blister on the front of the belly (under the neck) looks like a cysts. There's nothing you can do about them and the fish normally dies.

The white thing hanging out the fish's butt could be part of its intestine that has popped out. They usually go back in by themselves. This intestines popping out is normally a genetic trait and occurs more in fish that have fat stomachs like a female livebearers with babies growing in her. Basically the internal body cavity (where the guts and organs are) gets squished up by all the babies inside the body, and sometimes the intestine gets pushed out the fish's bum.

It could also be caused by intestinal worms but I need a clearer picture to see if there are any thin red or white worms sticking out. You can check for that yourself. When the fish is relaxed and not stressed out or excitedly playing, you will sometimes see small thin red or white hair like things sticking out the fish's butt. They are only a couple of mm long but it looks like tiny hairs poking out.
