Swordtail sex???

Hi guys,

This is my mummy swordtail, she's had fry but she has a small sword, is this normal? Both my other female and the male in the tank take a lot of interest in her, she has looked pregnant constantly for months now and just had 11babies : ) x

It's quite common for older females to develop male characteristics.

She is one of our own fry, less than a year. Good to know though, however I think she's been impregnated by her own dad... eeek
